Stealth-Action Game Styx: Blades of Greed Gets a Demo
Publisher Nacon and developer Cyanide Studio have started accepting pre-orders for Styx: Blades of Greed. To mark the occasion, the creators have released a new gameplay trailer and announced that a demo is already available on PC.
The free trial offers players about an hour of content from the very beginning, where the ever-present Styx must infiltrate a guarded area, steal valuables, and escape unscathed. Initially, the hero will explore the insides of a giant golem to find its weak spot and destroy it from within. After that, a risky airship heist begins under the watchful eye of the Inquisition.
All progress is saved, so after purchasing the full version, players can continue from where they left off. However, it's worth noting that the developers decided not to include all of Styx's new abilities in the demo, depriving the hero of the grappling hook and glider. This was done intentionally to "not spoil the hero's full potential."
At the same time, the studio revealed what gamers can expect at launch:
- Three huge open locations to explore — new areas of the Wall, the orc lair of Turquoise Dawn, and the decaying Ruins of Akenash.
- Numerous tools providing additional gameplay opportunities.
- Various upgrades for both tools and Styx's skills.
- The Quartz's magical abilities, including time travel and mind control over enemies.
- New enemy factions with their own gameplay features, including inquisitors, orcs, and elves.
- New challenges with increased freedom of action compared to previous games in the series.
Styx: Blades of Greed will be released on February 19th for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series with Russian text localization.
