Surprisingly, the Darkhaven Diablo-like demo turned out to be excellent — the game is raising funds on Kickstarter

Unexpectedly, the demo version of the alpha build of the Diablo-like game Darkhaven from the young studio Moonbeast Productions, founded by Blizzard veterans who worked on Diablo 1 and 2, has shown itself in the best light. Instead of some half-baked product, as one might have assumed from the developers' appeal to players, we got a very solid version with a large number of implemented mechanics and even unique features.

In particular, the terrain destruction system, caused both by the player and by mobs through spells, allows for solving some puzzles and also brings new emotions to the endless mob grind.

On Steam, players have left 87% positive reviews for this demo.

Recall that the game launched on Kickstarter with the goal of raising $500,000 in a month. At the time of this news publication, nearly $96,000 had been raised. The developers have prepared slides with rewards for those who support the product — from the cheapest package at $25 (already sold out) to the most expensive at $10,000.

Judging by the roadmap, the game's release in early access format should not be expected before the fourth quarter of 2026.
