Speaks like Malfoy — Baldur's Gate 3 star introduces the villain of GreedFall: The Dying World
Resident Evil Requiem will have high replayability — decisions made by one hero will strongly affect the situation for the other
Creative director of Resident Evil Requiem Kosi Nakanishi explained a key feature of the game with two heroes. According to him, the "persistent world" system between Grace and Leon creates a new type of replayability for the series.
When switching characters, the world state is preserved: defeated enemies remain dead, and collected items disappear. This forces strategic planning of actions. For example, playing as Grace, who lacks ammunition, you can avoid combat, and later return to the same location as Leon to clear out enemies.
This approach encourages experimenting with routes and resource distribution. The player sees how the actions of one character directly affect the possibilities of the other, forming a deep gameplay loop.
Earlier, Capcom already stated that the contrast between the vulnerable Grace and the experienced Leon is the central idea of the project, which unites horror and action.
