Sounds of magic: Hans Zimmer to compose music for Harry Potter series

The main musical theme for Harry Potter, composed by the legendary John Williams, is known and loved by everyone, so HBO had to bring in another renowned composer, Hans Zimmer. The two-time Oscar winner for The Lion King and Dune, and a Hollywood veteran, will immerse himself in the "magical world" and work on the show alongside his colleagues from Bleeding Fingers Music, of which he is one of the founders.

The musical legacy of Harry Potter is a starting point for composers around the world, and we are honored to join such a remarkable team on a project of this scale. Kara Talve, Anja Rosman, and I take this responsibility very seriously. Magic surrounds us everywhere, often inaccessible, but as in the world of Harry Potter, you just have to look for it.
