Project Cloud Games (the devs) has partially confirmed a launch window for the soulslike The Relic: First Guardian. PC and PlayStation 5 owners get first dibs on July 31; other platforms follow. A short gameplay trailer accompanies the news.

The team says the game leans on Asian myths and folk tales as its backbone. You play a hero hunting powerful Relics to bring back a lost prosperity — an arc that’s less heroic anthem and more a string of hard choices, according to the footage. The loot model is billed as unusual: every weapon and armor piece is a unique item, not just another copy with different numbers. Expect 70+ bosses, each presented with its own tragic thread (i.e., the game ties boss fights to narrative beats).

The Relic: First Guardian will debut on PC (Steam) and PS5 on July 31. Xbox Series and Switch 2 versions are due by the end of summer; exact dates are TBD. Russian translation has not been announced.
