The action takes place in England during the War of the Roses. The main character, Anna, loses her husband, who has gone to war. His friend John, who has feelings for her, informs her that he has been killed by bandits. Soon, a demonic knight appears in the area, killing everyone who approaches Anna — it seems that her past has returned, bringing with it a terrible curse.
