Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed that Bluepoint Games will be closed in March 2026. This is the studio that created the Demon’s Souls remake and was considered one of the valuable assets of PlayStation Studios.

According to an internal letter from Herman Hulst, the decision was made after a "thorough business analysis" amid "rising development costs and a slowing industry growth." However, behind the official statements lies a series of failures, for which many blame Sony's management.

As a result, about 70 people will lose their jobs. Sony promised to try to redistribute some of the talent to other internal studios, but for many, this means the end of working in the team that created the most beautiful remake in Sony's history.
