Sheogorath's Vacation, the First Season Launch, and Other New Features of The Elder Scrolls Online in July
The first season is coming, and — oddly enough — Sheogorath is taking a vacation. In July, players of The Elder Scrolls Online will see a new Thieves Guild storyline, a slate of events (Golden Trials included), and a few surprises tucked into the schedule.
Kickoff is July 8: a new Tamriel Chapter arrives along with Trials and daily story quests. Not everything appears that day; content will be rolled out over the season (e.g., some quests and activities release later). The Thieves Guild storyline is playable from July 8 through October 21.
On July 29 the Sheogorath Tours Tamriel arc begins. The mad god goes mortal for a breather and makes a stop at the annual Festival of Artisan Cheese — yes, that festival. Want to tag along? At the same time, Sheogorath Takes a Holiday launches as a Golden Pursuits campaign: complete tasks and quests to earn rewards. That campaign runs July 29–August 12.
There’s also a High Seas of Tamriel event on the docket, putting you into naval clashes against pirates on the open water.
