Total War: SHOGUN 2 — Complete Edition — an updated release of the 2011 strategy title that bundles all DLC and adds new content. The release date is October 13.

The Complete Edition will contain the original Total War: SHOGUN 2 plus its expansion content, including the campaigns “Rise of the Samurai” and “Fall of the Samurai.” Developers say they will refresh visuals and technical elements — improving graphics, lighting, shadows, and textures — while modernizing controls and adding UI scaling options for 1440p and 4K displays. More than 50 new minor factions will be playable, and the edition will include built-in mod support via Mod.io.

In single-player, the campaign spans the era from the rise of the first shogun to the fall of the last samurai. Players must unite Japan through alliance-building, political maneuvering, castle construction, and management of large armies. Battles occur in real time, where commanders can deploy tactics, set ambushes, and conduct sieges — with the outcomes of major engagements determined by decisions made on the battlefield.

Multiplayer modes are included as well. Users can progress a custom general, obtain new equipment and troop upgrades, and take part in cooperative or competitive campaigns. Custom battles support up to eight players.

The Complete Edition will be available only on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store). The game will include a full Russian translation.
