Season Extended, Sanctuary Added, Bots Banned: What Else Was Shown on the AION 2 Stream
NCSOFT ran a stream about AION 2. Rather than a high-gloss showcase, the talk landed on player-suggested fixes, sweeping class tweaks, and a handful of UX changes that should be felt in-game pretty quickly.
- Owners of the "Officer" rank will get priority access to the Abyss — basically front-of-line entry, bypassing queues.
- The "Potential" system is live: items in the same category can be used to level each other up, and crafted pieces grant an extra bonus (e.g., better progression when you craft).
- Wizards are getting auto-evasion plus a beefed-up shield.
- Sorcerers will see snappier animations and higher damage.
- Summoners’ Elementals won't perish inside dungeons anymore.
- Wing presets have been added; a colorblind mode landed; medal-conversion costs have been reduced.
- Group formation becomes clickable links in chat (i.e., click-to-join — less typing, more playing).
Season two has been pushed out to April 8. Also coming: a new Sanctuary that drops heroic-rank gear.
Kim Nam Joon addressed bots and bot reports. The claim: the system nicks bots within 24 hrs, and about 95% of so-called "false ban" appeals are actually attempts to conceal third-party software use. Some players remain skeptical, but that's the dev stance for now.
