Independent studio Tribute Games announced the release of a demo for Scott Pilgrim EX — a dynamic beat 'em up based on the Scott Pilgrim comic book series. The release of the trial version was timed for Valentine's Day.

Gamers are invited to try a small portion of the initial content. The demo can be played both solo and in co-op with friends. However, it's worth noting that the "demo" is only available on Steam, leaving console players out of luck.

Scott Pilgrim EX will send gamers to a near-future Toronto, where Scott Pilgrim and his comrades confront angry hordes of vegans, robots, and demons.

The co-author of the original comic, Bryan Lee O'Malley, participated in the creation of the title. Among the key features highlighted by the developers are: 7 playable characters, diverse combos, customization, progression, an 8-bit soundtrack, and co-op for up to four players.

Scott Pilgrim EX will be released on March 3rd for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch with Russian text localization.
