Requiem has surpassed the review scores of Resident Evil 7 and Village but falls short of the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 4.

Critics are calling the game one of the scariest in the series, praising its blend of horror and action, charismatic characters, fan service references, graphics, and performance on consoles.
