Netflix Will Produce an Adaptation of the Hit Board Game Ticket to Ride

Netflix continues to explore the world of board games. Following the announcement of the "Settlers" adaptation, the streaming giant has announced the acquisition of global rights to the cult board game Ticket to Ride, known in Russia as "Bilet na poezd."

The deal covers films, series, and documentary projects. The first will be a feature film written by Ben Meckler and Chris Emek. The game's creator, Alan R. Moon, will serve as executive producer.

Ticket to Ride has sold over 20 million copies and has been translated into 30 languages. Players become railroad tycoons, laying routes and competing for lucrative junctions. Now, this mechanic is set to gain a visual embodiment.
