Roskomnadzor stated that new restrictions for the Telegram messenger are not currently being applied.

"Currently, no new restrictive measures are being applied against Telegram."

Earlier, users in Russia complained about slow video loading in the application. In August, the agency began partially restricting calls on Telegram and WhatsApp as part of the fight against fraudsters extorting money from citizens.
