Roguelike BALL x PIT Released on iOS and Android

Publisher Devolver Digital has announced a mobile release of the roguelike BALL x PIT. The title is now on iOS and Android — available from the App Store and Google Play for $9.99 (yes, a paid port).

The core loop borrows from classic Arkanoid but twists the formula: instead of a single paddle-and-ball routine you get dozens of balls with weird, distinct effects that stack and interact. Think multi-ball that homes, bombs that shatter blocks, buffs that alter physics, etc. The result is less old-school arcade and more a toolbox of combos you discover as you play.

Plotwise you tunnel into a massive crater to take on monsters while scavenging materials to erect your own settlement. It’s a bit grim, a bit resource-driven; gameplay alternates between frantic action and inventory decisions, so expect both reflex tests and light base-building moments.
