Rockstar Games officially acknowledged three leaks related to Grand Theft Auto VI. These were separate incidents, and all the "culprits" were dismissed:

• November 2023 — an employee in the USA was fired;
• April 2025 — an employee in Lincoln, UK, was fired. The leaked information allegedly went to social media;
• November 2025 — an employee in India was fired.

This is part of Rockstar's legal proceedings due to recent layoffs of over 30 employees.

Gamers immediately noticed insider “facts” about GTA 6 that emerged on social media in the summer of 2025. These were shared by the GameRoll account, which previously confirmed the names of the game's protagonists. It seems Rockstar's statements have essentially confirmed the information from that list.

What was in it? Reminder:

• More than 700 accessible stores;
• Shopping centers and skyscrapers with working elevators;
• 5 main story campaign chapters;
• 6-star wanted level;
• Weight gain/loss mechanics;
• Relationship scale between Jason and Lucía;
• Rectangular mini-map with pink route points;
• Jason and Lucía can instantly meet, and players can switch between heroes during joint missions;
• Weapon carrying restrictions, but can be stored in the car trunk;
• Blood and dismemberment;
• Jason has the "Sharpshooter" ability, slowing time and highlighting opponents' weak spots. Lucía has it too, but less advanced;
• The second trailer shows only scenes from chapters 1-3 (chapters 4-5 were not completed at that time);
• Underwater treasures and secrets;
• Players can greet NPCs or provoke them. Characters also react to weapons in the protagonists' hands;
• Car handling is called "the best in history";
• There is a mission where the hero shoots a shark with a harpoon;
• A mission where Lucía infiltrates a bodybuilder gang;

• Jason has a friend named Donnie, described as a "freak," who also works for Brian;
• Lucía has a child — he appears at the beginning of the game but seems to play no major role in the story;

• The game features male and female strippers.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. It will have an official translation into Russian.
