Dead by Daylight Players Become Co-Authors of New Chapter in the "Grimoire" Project

Studio Behaviour Interactive is marking the upcoming tenth anniversary of Dead by Daylight with an unconventional creative experiment. The developers have launched the "Grimoire" project, which allows the players themselves to participate in creating the game's next story chapter.

The essence of the initiative is that through a special Currently, players have already formed the general concept for the antagonist. It will be a god-like entity from another world, which is destroying its own reality and pursues "sinners," meting out punishment upon them. This image sets a dark and mystical tone for the upcoming chapter, expanding the mythology of Dead by Daylight.

Now the community faces a new task: to choose the appearance of the new survivor — a spiritual scientist, one of the few who managed to survive in the monster's native world. Their mission is to put an end to the nightmare spawned by the killer. Voting for the character's appearance will last only a few days and will end on January 26th.

Behaviour Interactive assures that "Grimoire" is not just a marketing ploy, but a serious attempt to involve the audience in the creative process. The studio aims to turn fans from passive players into true co-authors, giving an impulse to the development of the Dead by Daylight universe.

According to the studio's creative director, the main goal of the project is to give the community a sense of involvement in the game's evolution. The developers want every voting participant to feel that their choice matters and directly influences what the next chapter of the cult asymmetric horror will become.
