Finnish solo developer Antti Lainonen has finally put an end to the speculation about the release date for Road to Vostok — the hardcore survival game will officially launch on Steam Early Access on April 7, 2026.

The announcement was accompanied by a fresh trailer, showcasing how far the game has come since its high-profile switch from the Unity engine to Godot.

The developer has also revealed the financial details. At launch, the game will cost 15 euros (including a temporary 25% discount), and after two weeks, the price will increase to the standard 20 euros.

Considering the project is being developed by just one person, such transparency in pricing and regular free demos have helped the project amass an impressive fan base — over a million demo downloads and hundreds of thousands of wishlist additions.
