Team Falcons' Counter-Strike 2 rifler Nikola "NiKo" Kovač compared the IEM Krakow 2026 tournament to the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 1. The esports athlete also commented on the team's recent performances.

On BLAST Bounty 2026:

"At the last tournament, we had a stand-in, so of course, we played a bit differently. I think from the final we only extracted information on how to counter the PARIVISION system and what to expect from that team."

Earlier, the team's captain Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski explained the reasons for the team's difficult start at IEM Krakow 2026. According to the leader, the roster approached the championship with almost no joint practice with their main player Maxim "kyousuke" Lukin.

On matches against NRG and Aurora:

"It was a tough match... The start was difficult, but then we managed to come back. With the return of kyousuke and zonic, we want to show everyone our true level. I think it was precisely because of this pressure that we missed the win."

Kovač also calls the match against NRG difficult. However, here the team managed to pull themselves together and come out on top. But despite the success, the esports athlete believes the roster still has a lot of detailed work to do.

The team is in a precarious position at the tournament:

• In the first round, Falcons lost to Aurora Gaming.
• In the lower bracket, they barely defeated NRG.

IEM Krakow 2026 is taking place from January 28 to February 8 in Poland at the TAURON Arena Kraków. 24 teams are participating in the tournament, with a total prize pool of $1,250,000.
