After settling a prolonged dispute with Disney, Gina Carano has hinted she may rejoin forces with Lucasfilm. Her account of a recent phone call with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni was upbeat; the Mando creators, she says, showed interest in picking up Cara Dune’s story again.

Backstory: Carano was let go in 2021 over social-media posts and later sued — Elon Musk publicly backed her legal fight. An amicable agreement reached in Aug. 2025 removed the major legal barriers, at least on paper.
