Resident Evil Requiem to Receive Story DLC and Photo Mode
Resident Evil Requiem's game director, Kosi Nakanishi, spoke directly to fans — thanked them for the warm reception and pointed to five million copies sold. He didn't just stop at the numbers; the conversation wandered into what comes next, with a few tantalizing hints.
Capcom says more content is on the way: a story DLC is in development. Short sentence, big promise — take it with the usual publisher caveats, but also... interesting.
Photo mode is coming too, which will make a lot of fans happy. On camera, the director flicked through promotional material: a poster that reads Forbidden Requiem, plus concept pieces for a card mini-game and a "match-three" game (e.g., casual diversions tucked into the main campaign). One image showed Leon beside a woman whose face is turned away — leaves room for speculation, to say the least.
Predictably, theories popped up almost immediately. Some players are calling for the return of the "Mercenaries" mode; others think the DLC might center on Hank, that Umbrella operative we've only glimpsed so far. Skeptical? Sure — but people love to fill the blanks.
Resident Evil Requiem launched on February 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series. Earlier, Capcom shared player statistics: combined playtime reportedly tops more than 11k years (yes, really).
