Resident Evil Requiem, according to Alinea Analytics, has surpassed Resident Evil Village in lifetime revenue on the platform in just three weeks. The new release has brought Capcom a total gross revenue of 225 million US dollars on Steam.
The PlayStation 5 version also sold well. It showed an impressive 175 million dollars in gross revenue — 50 million less than on the Valve platform. Analysts attribute this gap to Capcom's overall policy toward the PC segment and the increasing share of gamers from China. On Steam, players from the "Middle Kingdom" make up 15% of the total number of Resident Evil Requiem players.
