Resident Evil Requiem received a VR mod
Modders have ported Resident Evil Requiem to VR. The mod works with OpenVR and OpenXR; the creators suggest playing in first-person. There are still glitches, though — and, annoyingly, some puzzles haven’t been reworked for the new perspective, so you’ll sometimes have to take the headset off (FYI, for now).
Resident Evil Requiem arrived on Feb 27 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2. Critics and players largely liked it — glowing write-ups appeared — and sales have been strong, topping six million copies. Still, some reactions were mixed on specific design choices; I found a few moments surprisingly divisive.
An update is planned that will add a photo mode and a story DLC. Exact details remain unannounced, but an insider claims the DLC might include Ada Wong — possibly the wife of Leon Kennedy, depending on how the story shakes out.
