GTA 6 Physical Release May Be Delayed Due to Leak Fears

Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series. However, those wishing to purchase the crime action game on disc may have to wait longer. At least, Microsoft Flight Simulator for PS5 and the release date for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on Switch 2.

It is reported that publisher Take-Two allegedly does not plan to release physical disc editions of GTA 6 at launch. Simply because the company fears leaks containing spoilers and gameplay footage.

It's possible GTA 6 will only appear on discs 3-4 weeks after the digital release. Or perhaps not until early 2027. Although all of this is speculation and hearsay from sources. More details (in other words, new rumors) we might only learn in mid-February.

To recap, GTA 6 will once again take us to Vice City, where players will experience the story of Jason and Lucia. Rockstar has delayed the game multiple times, originally planning to release it in 2025. Currently, no further delays are expected.
