Registration Open for Closed Testing of MMORPG Global MapleStory Classic World

Nexon has opened sign-ups for the closed online test of the Global MapleStory Classic World mode for the MMORPG MapleStory.

The test kicks off on April 16, 2026. Players will be able to jump into a version that evokes MapleStory from roughly two decades ago — nostalgia with updated scaffolding, not a literal time machine.

The team says they reworked balance and many gameplay systems; expect QoL changes (e.g., UI tweaks, smoothing of some mechanics) and other adjustments aimed at current players rather than a pure museum piece. If you loved the original, prepare for familiar sights with some modern edits — sometimes comforting, sometimes surprising.

Keep in mind this build is provisional. Content, balance, features and the in-game store may still change before launch, and all character progress will be wiped when the test ends.
