Red Dead Redemption 2 Fans Move Closer to Solving the Spider Easter Egg
Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have discovered a previously unknown Easter egg and are doing everything they can to uncover its secrets. One content creator has come closer to the solution than anyone else so far, publishing a video that documents his route between the key locations involved in the mystery.
Finding this secret event is no easy task, as it only triggers at a specific location between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m. in in-game time. During this window, a spider web and a feather caught in it appear on a telegraph pole marked with a spider symbol. The feather can be knocked down with a gunshot. By overlaying the spider’s silhouette onto the game map, players can identify other similar poles. The central one points toward the cardinal direction players must follow to reach the next location.
The last discovered stop so far is the roof of a building, where players found images of birds. Anyone who takes out binoculars and looks in the direction of their “flight” will spot a mountain slope marked with a question mark. This is where gamers are now heading, determined to find the final destination and already speculating about what the developers may have prepared at the end of the trail.
For reference, Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on October 26, 2018, and is available on PlayStation, Xbox Series, and PC. The game received high praise from both players and critics, including the editorial team at Igromania. You can learn more about the action RPG in our full review.
