Resident Evil Requiem Will Not Have Any Open World; Players Made That Up Themselves
Capcom has officially denied rumors that the new installment Resident Evil Requiem will be an open-world game. Game director Kōji Nakanishi stated that the team wants to adjust players' expectations following the speculation seen online.
According to IGN, the game's structure will be an evolution of the classic formula: some segments are compared to RE 2 and 7, others to RE 4. Earlier, the studio admitted that it considered open-world concepts in the early stages but abandoned them in favor of a focused single-player horror experience.
Requiem is positioned as an anniversary installment, gathering the best features of the series.
