Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales Returns to Mobile Devices

Good news, Witcher fans - Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is coming back on iOS and Android! You'll find it on the Apple App or Android Stores. Take on the impending Nilfgaardian invasion in this single-player RPG, set in The Witcher universe.

In early 2025, CD Projekt RED employees removed the mobile versions of Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales due to functionality issues. After nearly a year, the shortcomings have been fixed, and now "Thronebreaker" has fully returned to iOS and Android.

The title should appear in the App Store and Google Play within 24 hours, depending on the region.

As expected, fans of The Witcher warmly welcomed the game's return, once again calling "Thronebreaker" the most underrated spin-off.

To recap, gameplay-wise, the title offers a blend of a visual novel and Gwent. The protagonist is Meve — the Queen of Lyria and Rivia, who, along with her loyal subjects, must find allies to confront traitors and drive the Nilfgaardians from their lands.

Since its release, "Thronebreaker" has garnered rave reviews from both critics and ordinary players. However, the project did not meet the developers' financial expectations, leading to the cancellation of other similar spin-offs.
