Quality above all: Ubisoft has postponed the release of new content for Anno 117: Pax Romana

Quality above all ubisoft has postponed the release of new content for anno 117 pax romana

A save-corrupting bug pushed Ubisoft to move the Prophecies of Ash expansion for Anno 117: Pax Romana to April 30. The devs decided a one-week slip was preferable to shipping something that could wreck players' progress — annoying, yes, but less toxic than a flood of broken saves.

The free-play promo still goes live on Apr 23, so there’s a short-term buffer: free access might calm some frustration. Player numbers have tumbled — from a peak near 50k down to about 2–3k online — so this update (new island Cynis + trading rework) is basically the project's make-or-break moment. Fans will be watching; the update is the one real chance to revive interest.
