A trailer announcing the release date for Project Songbird.
The independent studio FYRE Games announced the release date for Project Songbird — an atmospheric first-person psychological horror game. The game will be released on PC and consoles on March 26.
Project Songbird is a new project by developer Conner Rush and his studio FYRE Games, known for Summerland and We Never Left. This time, the developers are focusing on a contained story with an emphasis on atmosphere, tension, and an interesting plot.
Players will take on the role of Dakota, a professional musician facing a creative block. In search of inspiration, the protagonist retreats to a secluded cabin in the Appalachian woods to record a new album. However, isolation quickly turns into a nightmare: reality begins to blend with disturbing dreams, and creative struggles turn into a fight for survival.

The playthrough is estimated to take about four to five hours. During this time, the game will showcase various locations — from wilderness to distorted, almost surreal spaces. The developers promise a cinematic presentation, melee and ranged combat with the ability to upgrade weapons, as well as a permadeath system designed to heighten tension in every encounter.
FYRE Games places a particular emphasis on music and voice acting. The voice cast includes Valerie Rose Lohman, Jonah Scott, and Aleks Le. The soundtrack was composed and performed by members of the band Auric Echoes — it dynamically adapts to the events on screen, making the game more atmospheric.
You can experience the full weight of creative block and find a way out in Project Songbird on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. The game will not have Russian language support.
