PS+ in March — The Elder Scrolls Online, Monster Hunter: Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and PGA TOUR 2K25
February is coming to an end, which means it's time to reveal the traditional list of games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive next month. The titles listed below are available on all subscription tiers. They can be claimed from March 3 to April 6:
- PGA TOUR 2K25 (PS4, PS5) — another sports game about golf from 2K.
- Scores: 81/100 on OpenCritic; 68% positive reviews on Steam.
- Monster Hunter: Rise (PS4, PS5) — a role-playing action game about hunting monsters from the cult franchise by Capcom, released in 2021.
- Scores: 87/100 on OpenCritic; 82% positive reviews on Steam.
Monster Hunter Rise will divide (has already divided!) players into two camps: some will miss the beauty of World and ignore the new game, while others are more concerned with gameplay, which is in many ways better here. The game has room to grow, but even now it's an amazing start to another chapter in the history of Monster Hunter. There are enough innovations here for both "old-timers" and new audiences trying to understand the phenomenon of "MonHun." Not just one of the best games for Nintendo Switch, but a potential candidate for Game of the Year, especially if the upcoming updates are substantial.
Pros: the beloved formula, from which the unnecessary was removed, adding interesting innovations; increased dynamism in exploring locations and battles (thanks to the Wirebugs and Palamutes); riding monsters and fighting other beasts from their backs doesn't get old; an even more accessible entry point for newcomers, while remaining challenging enough for series veterans; excellent design of new monsters; impressive graphics and decent optimization on Switch; a more convenient multiplayer system than in World.
Cons: not the most engaging endgame; those who love captivating stories have nothing to do here.
- Slime Rancher 2 (PS5) — a cute adventure about hunting slimes from Monomi Park.
- Scores: 76/100 on OpenCritic; 94% positive reviews on Steam.
- The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road (PS4, PS5) — a long-running MMORPG from Zenimax Online Studios. The PS+ edition grants access to all main zones, biomes, and storylines of Tamriel except for content from 2025.
- Scores (for the Gold Road expansion): 80/100 on OpenCritic; 44% positive reviews on Steam.
