Modder Blurbs, known for his absurd and technically complex works, has revealed how he managed to cross the hyper-realism of Red Dead Redemption 2 with Nintendo mechanics.

The author emphasized that his goal was not simply to replace deer with Pikachu. He implemented a turn-based combat system with the classic interface from Pokémon games into Red Dead Redemption 2. When you encounter a wild animal or another trainer (a member of the Van der Linde gang), the camera changes its angle, and the familiar command menu appears.

Currently, this mod doesn't even have an approximate release date, but the developer plans to make it available to everyone.
