Players Are Tired of Gacha: Tactical RPG Archeland to Shut Down Next Month

The Game Never Made It to Global

The gacha game Archeland never reached the global market. Zlongame will finally shut down the tactical role-playing game on March 25, 2026, although the franchise may continue to exist in a new version.

In December, a revised edition, Archeland: Re, featuring rebalanced gameplay and an updated interface, was already tested in Taiwan. However, there are no official plans for its launch in other regions yet.

The original Archeland was released in South Korea in December 2022 and quickly achieved impressive financial results, entering the top five highest-grossing mobile applications. The project attracted players with its high-quality animation and classic combat system but failed to retain its audience.

The game was already on the verge of closure in July 2024, but the developers gave it a second chance at that time, promising bonuses and character voice acting. Unfortunately, this did not help: for a year and a half, only cosmetic updates were released, and substantial new content never materialized.
