Phasmophobia Developers Launch Publishing Division

The studio Kinetic Games, responsible for the co-op horror Phasmophobia, has ventured into publishing by establishing the label Kinetic Publishing.

The publishing branch will focus on games with a "clear concept" that are expected to release within 12–18 months. Kinetic Publishing will provide financial, legal, and marketing support, as well as development advice that Kinetic Games CEO Daniel Knight needed when he was working solo on Phasmophobia.

It's a fantastic time for indie game development, and I can say I've learned a lot over the past five years. The fact that we've grown so much as a company means we now want to support studios under our wing and provide the support I would have appreciated at the start of my journey.

Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games

Kinetic Publishing's marketing director Asim Tanvir added that the team aims to encourage creativity and new ideas among independent teams.
