PARIVISION CS2 Coach Explains Opponents' Special Mindset Against His Team

PARIVISION coach Dastan "dastan" Akbayev commented on the team's debut match against HEROIC at IEM Kraków 2026 for Counter-Strike 2. The coach explained the reasons for the local failure on the second map and reflected on how the recent triumph at BLAST Bounty changed opponents' attitudes towards his players.

Fatigue and Mistakes

Despite the eventual victory over HEROIC (2:1), Akbayev was dissatisfied with the performance on Dust2. According to him, the map was "terrible in every aspect": the game plan failed, and the players looked frustrated.

"This is our second tournament in a row — maybe the guys are just a bit tired," the coach noted, attributing the mistakes to a busy schedule.

The Burden of Being the Favorite

Dastan emphasized that after winning the previous event, PARIVISION has become the main target for other participants. Now everyone wants to beat them to take away VRS ranking points. However, the coach tries to relieve extra pressure from the young players.

  • Philosophy: Akbayev instills in the team that they are not obligated to win the title at any cost; their goal is simply to go as far as possible and gain experience.
  • Youth: The coach reminded that his roster is one of the youngest on the scene (only B8 is younger), and the guys need time to adapt to travel and stress.

Battle with Aurora

The next opponent for PARIVISION will be Aurora Gaming. Dastan expects an interesting veto stage due to the presence of the Anubis map in the pool.

"We are facing a battle of young players against experienced ones. I believe that in terms of firepower, we are at least equal," Akbayev summarized.

Tournament Standings

PARIVISION has already advanced to the next round of the Play-In upper bracket. The match against Aurora Gaming for a spot in the main stage of the championship will take place today.

Earlier, the Astralis captain assessed the potential of the updated roster, discussing the team's ability to establish itself at the tier-1 level. The Danish leader expressed confidence in the strength of the current lineup, despite high competition on the professional scene.

Recently, the BC.Game coach spoke about the process of integrating star players into the team's tactical setups. The coach assured that s1mple and electronic are demonstrating full readiness to work for the team and adhere to the established system.

The day before, G2 Esports started the tournament in Krakow with a victory, defeating the Ukrainian team Passion UA in a tense match. The "Samurai" confirmed their favorite status by managing to turn the tide of the encounter and take the series in their favor.
