Dispatch Authors Call Uncensored Switch Cartridge Version "Impossible"

The authors of Dispatch (2025) have stated that physical copies of the game for Nintendo Switch will inevitably be censored, which is why the port was criticized by the gaming community. Journalists raised the question about a potential "complete" version on cartridges, recalling that some games were censored on Nintendo Switch but released uncensored on physical media. Unfortunately, in the case of Dispatch, hoping for a miracle is pointless.
"There are no possibilities for a physical copy to be released without altered content," stated a representative from AdHoc.
A representative from AdHoc Studio also added that the question about the absence of censorship on cartridges is invalid, at least because no one has announced plans to release a physical copy.
One possible reason for censoring Dispatch could be the high age rating in Japan (CERO Z), which the game avoided in other regions. Journalists asked the studio if the game could have received "regional" versions, like Cyberpunk 2077 for Japan and the rest of the world. Unfortunately, AdHoc Studio declined to comment for legal reasons.
What the developers do promise is to try, at least partially, to reduce the amount of censorship in Dispatch on Nintendo Switch.
Incidentally, Nintendo itself claims that it did not interfere with the game's content.
