Owners of Some Ubisoft Games on Xbox Will Be Able to Play Them for Free on PC
Microsoft and Ubisoft have announced a deal that lets people who own certain Ubisoft titles on Xbox run those same games on PC without buying another copy. You only need the digital Xbox version — no extra purchase required.
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
- Far Cry 6.
- Immortals Fenyx Rising.
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
- Riders Republic.
- Skull and Bones.
- The Crew 2.
- The Crew Motorfest.
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction.
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
- Watch Dogs Legion.
These titles should appear in Ubisoft Connect (the official PC launcher) and will be added to your library automatically. FYI: Microsoft says accounts with existing purchases may need to wait until Aug 4 for the sync process to finish.
Note the catch: this works one-way — Xbox -> PC. If you bought the PC edition, you won’t get a free copy on Microsoft consoles.
Ubisoft added that paid DLC will transfer along with the base game, though consumables and in-game currency may not sync across platforms. To see exactly what carries over, check the game properties page in Ubisoft Connect.
Microsoft says several Ubisoft games are now listed in the Xbox app on PC, for example Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Some publisher DLCs can now be bought directly through the Xbox App on PC.
