Terraria Online Hits 200,000 Players — A First Since 2020

Terraria, often called the "2D competitor to Minecraft," is experiencing a new surge in popularity. Following the release of the 1.4.5 Bigger and Boulder update on January 27th, the game has been rapidly gaining players.

The update served as a true anniversary gift for the project. The developers at Re-Logic added an improved crafting interface, revamped inventory and housing management, and a new spectator function — now surviving players can watch the match after death.

One of the key innovations is the updated world generation menu, which allows for combining unique seeds to create even more diverse locations.

Furthermore, the game has added crossovers with Dead Cells and Palworld, new blocks, sprites, and hidden secrets that fans are already actively discussing online. The full list of changes is available in the official patch notes.
