On the night of October 11, a new mini anime series based on "Naruto" will be presented, but it seems it will be a flop
Naruto Panel Set for New York Comic Con 2026, Mini-Anime Series Announcement Expected
A Naruto-focused panel will take place at New York Comic Con 2026, kicking off on October 11 at exactly midnight. During the event, a new mini-anime series for the franchise is set to be announced.
However, fans hoping for a Naruto remake or a Boruto continuation may want to temper their expectations. The official X account used an old poster featuring Team 7 as the illustration for the panel, which suggests the announcement will concern the same four filler episodes that Pierrot was originally supposed to release three years ago.
The panel will feature Takeuchi Junko and Sugiyama Noriaki, the voice actors behind Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke. It was organized by VIZ Media, which had promised a new Naruto project a month prior.
Variety previously reported on a feature film. It remains unclear whether the journalists were mistaken, or whether multiple announcements are planned.
So while the panel is confirmed, there is little reason to expect a Naruto remake or a Boruto continuation from the event.
