Official: NVIDIA Doesn't Care About Gaming Graphics Cards
NVIDIA's CFO has announced that "strict restrictions" on graphics card supplies will remain in place at least until the end of April 2026. Prices for the RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti already exceed the recommended ones by $200–500, with many models disappearing from sale.
The reason for the shortage is the priority given to data centers: the server segment's revenue reached $193.7 billion per year, compared to $16 billion for the gaming division. The AI business is 12 times larger and more profitable, so production capacity is being allocated in its favor.
The situation is further aggravated by rumors about the possible absence of new gaming cards in 2026 and a reduction in the release of the RTX 50 series.
