Nintendo has lost the producer of Mario Kart — another "veteran" with nearly 40 years of experience.
NVIDIA RTX Neural Rendering Technology to Reduce VRAM Consumption Sevenfold
NVIDIA has introduced the RTX Neural Rendering system, designed to reduce the load on video memory and accelerate rendering in games. The key technology, RTX Neural Texture Compression, according to the company, reduces VRAM usage sevenfold. Another module, RTX Neural Materials, accelerates material rendering fivefold. The system also includes RTX Neural Radiance Cache (NRC) for optimizing ray tracing. Developer tools will become available at the end of January.
For gamers, the main innovation will be a significant reduction in VRAM requirements. NVIDIA also announced new DLSS models (version 4.5) that improve upscaling.
