Xbox AI Learns to Automatically Record the Best Gaming Moments, But Only on ROG Xbox Ally X

The Xbox team has begun internal testing of an intriguing feature called Highlight Reels. The technology is designed to automatically recognize and save the most spectacular moments of your gameplay. Currently, the new capability is being trialed on the portable ROG Xbox Ally X console, and this is no coincidence—the NPU used for processing the neural models of this feature is precisely what this console possesses.

Previously, similar recording features often burdened the system's main resources, leading to frame rate drops. Now, a dedicated "smart" unit handles the analysis of on-screen events. It understands in real-time when something important happens in the game and saves the clip, barely affecting performance and not distracting the player from the process.
