DLC Legend of the Stone Demon for Borderlands 4 releases on February 26th

Less than a week remains until the release of the new expansion for Borderlands 4: DLC Legend of the Stone Demon will arrive in the game on February 26th — simultaneously with a major update.

The developers from Gearbox Software have shared details about the second Bounty Pack, which will help players prepare for the large-scale story expansion "Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned".

The new DLC will offer a quest chain related to the mysterious Auger cult and their rituals in honor of the Stone Demon. Players will explore an ancient cave accompanied by an unusual companion — a miniature Defiant Caldera, battle new enemies and several mini-bosses, and obtain legendary loot and cosmetic items.

The DLC will include a vault map, which will grant access to 24 cosmetic items and four pieces of legendary equipment — with the ability to re-roll their stats.

Alongside the DLC, all players will receive a free game update. Its main new feature is Pearl-rarity equipment. This is an ultra-rare loot tier well-known to series fans from earlier Borderlands games.

Obtaining Pearl-rarity items in Borderlands 4 will be tied to a new recurring world event — it will take place in several fixed locations. This will make the process of acquiring ultra-rare equipment more focused: unlike the classic "random" drop, players will be able to plan their actions and purposefully participate in the event.
