MMORPG "Allods Online" Players Await New Seasons and the Azure Astral Layer
The developers of the MMORPG "Allods Online" have announced a major update, which will become available after scheduled maintenance on February 5th. The main events will be the opening of the Azure Astral Layer and the start of new seasons of heroic adventures.
With the arrival of the update, players can expect a number of significant changes to astral mechanics. First and foremost, astral keys will be replaced: all keys currently held by characters and stored in valuables will be removed. In their place, each hero will receive 42 new keys.
The capabilities of crafters will be significantly expanded — masters (except for alchemists) will be able to create items of level 165. This will require purchasing special blueprints from profession trainers.
One of the most noticeable new features will be a new system for rotating astral islands. The developers have decided to organize travel through these locations by introducing seasonal island rotations. Whereas islands previously appeared randomly, they will now be distributed into special groups.
The formation of groups will take into account two key principles: completion statistics (how often players fully explore a particular island) and visual compatibility (islands within one group will harmoniously complement each other).
The newest islands will always be presented in a separate group. As new locations appear, the composition of this group will be updated, and the previous "new" islands will move to general groups. The set of available islands will also be updated when the layer changes.
Players will be able to find out which islands are available in the current layer from non-player characters — Afanasy Nikitov in the League's Astral Academy and Fyodor Konyukhin in the Empire's Astral Academy.
As part of the update, the heroic adventures of the Azure Layer will also open. Special attention has been paid to the Melting Island: all Melting Island keys currently held by players will be reset, and in return, each character will receive 10 new keys. Additionally, a resource conversion will take place — Glacier Ice Shards will be transformed into Dead Ice Shards.
