Sales of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Exceed 2 Million Copies
Skeptics who fretted about a "remake without Kojima" are getting something to chew on: Konami says global sales of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater have now cleared the 2 million mark.
The title moved its first million in literally a single day after the August 2025 launch, and that early spike followed by continued purchases suggests the project has staying power — steady interest from new players, esp. given the niche (i.e., stealth-action) audience. Not exactly what some expected, and that alone is notable.
Numbers like these probably push Konami toward more big single-player undertakings, though take that as my read (IMO): company decisions are rarely just about one data point. The game keeps selling without major DLC pushes, and on Steam it sits at "very positive" with 82% approval — a tidy reception that helps explain why the firm is pressing on with revivals of its older franchises, for better or worse.
