Media — Batman: Arkham Shadow creators laid off, game sequel canceled
Recently, it was announced (https://www.theverge.com/news/861420/meta-reality-labs-layoffs-vr-studios-twisted-pixel-sanzaru-armature) that Meta had closed three studios specializing in VR game development: Sanzaru, Armature, and Twisted Pixel.
According to Aftermath, these are not the only losses in the corporation's VR sector. According to the journalist, the Camouflaj team, responsible for Marvel's Iron Man VR and Batman: Arkham Shadow, was affected by mass layoffs. In addition, Meta canceled all projects that the team was developing. According to the reporter, a sequel to Arkham Shadow was in production, and it was being developed not by Camouflaj, but by the aforementioned company Sanzaru. This project has also been shelved, according to Aftermath sources.
The website Kotaku contacted Meta for comment, which stated that the layoffs did indeed affect Camouflaj employees, but that the studio would continue to operate.
