On March 26, The Boys: Trigger Warning will be released on Quest and later on PS VR2

Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and the studio ARVORE are behind the first game set in the world of The Boys. Only a slice of the fanbase will get to try it immediately: you need a VR headset. First up is a Quest launch, then a PS VR2 release down the line; the initial window has already been announced here.

The Boys: Trigger Warning mixes stealth and action around a newcomer, Lucas Costa. He stumbles onto a nasty Vought secret and what was meant to be a family picnic turns into a massacre — grim setup, honestly. At his lowest he’s picked up by "The Boys," gets powers, and is pulled into their dirty war with the Supes. Alongside Butcher and Mother's Milk, Lucas hunts to take down those responsible; the game plays out through that hunt (i.e., close-quarters stealth, targeted takedowns, and tense encounters).

As ARVORE’s creative director, Ricardo Laganaro, put it: the team aimed for a version of The Boys that feels like it belongs to the show while letting players actually experience being a superhero — a claim they say is "only possible in virtual reality." That sounds bold; whether it lands will be up to players, e.g., how well the VR mechanics sell the power fantasy.

You can play The Boys: Trigger Warning on Quest from March 26. No PS VR2 date yet. Preorders remain open on the Meta* website — the game is priced at $23.99.
