Details on Path of Exile's new "Mirage" League from the Developer Stream

The stream provided detailed information about the upcoming league events in Path of Exile, where players will have to rescue powerful genies from necromancers in parallel worlds.

As expected, the "Mirage" league has a desert theme: players battle the Afarud necromancers who are trying to capture and gain access to the souls of genies. After defeating one of them in the regular world, you will need to find several more in the "Mirage" mirror world.

This league is centered around battles on "Mirage" maps. Players will be able to choose a "Wish" modifier they want to use and fight monsters until the genie on the map is rescued. Players can expect unique items and will also be able to collect currency to corrupt gems in new ways.

Part of the new content includes new abilities related to Sacred Flame, many of which are cascading attacks against enemies, perfect for large groups. One such ability is a reworked version of the "Hammers" spell called "Sacred Hammers." Additionally, over 40 new gems will be introduced.

A new Ascendancy class, the Relicarian, will be added to the game for the Scion. The Relicarian's key passive skills borrow powers from unique items that can be found throughout Wraeclast and will change with each league.

The Mirage league features 40 new challenges, as well as 8 new challenges for the Ruthless mode. Players will receive pieces of the Regalia Orb armor set for completing 12, 20, 28, and 36 challenges in the Mirage league or 2, 4, 6, and 8 challenges in the Ruthless Mirage league. These challenge rewards are only available in this league.
