Lords of the Fallen turned a profit, selling 2.5 million copies: budget details and sequel release dates
For fans of Lords of the Fallen, CI Games has a couple of things to point to — neither is a guarantee, but both matter. The game has now sold over 2.5M copies and, as of March 2026, officially reached break-even. Total revenue sits at $81M, which just clears combined dev + marketing outlays that ran a hair over $80M.
Money played a role beyond box sales. Studio head Marek Tyminski reported an additional $19M raised through a share sale; that cash is being funneled into Lords of the Fallen 2. Development is described as active — not just concept work anymore. Publisher PLAION will handle global distribution, and the sequel is still slated for a 2026 launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series (XSX/XSS). Timelines like that often shift, but for now the plan stands.
