Notes by the "Father" of The Elder Scrolls on D&D Campaigns in the World of Tamriel Have Surfaced Online

The The Elder Scrolls community has discovered notes for Dungeons & Dragons campaigns set in the world of Tamriel. They were made public thanks to the family of the game designer who passed away in the summer of 2025.

As series experts explain, the materials related to Dungeons & Dragons campaigns date back to the development period of The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. LeFay led tabletop role-playing game campaigns that helped shape a significant portion of the series' "lore" and the history of Tamriel. Moreover, some of the adventures and characters from the developers' D&D sessions found their virtual reflection within the books in Daggerfall and beyond.

Before the publication of these materials, only one campaign by The Elder Scrolls developers within the framework of the tabletop role-playing game was reliably known. However, LeFay's notes revealed that the creators of the series at that time had formed two major adventures. The earlier one featured the Summerset Isles and Vanus Galerion. The later one concluded with the overthrow of the Camoran Usurper.

Julian LeFay's notes will soon be analyzed in detail by The Elder Scrolls experts. Meanwhile, the game designer's legacy continues to live on not only within the "Scrolls" but also within the walls of OnceLost Games — the studio is developing The Wayward Realms. LeFay was one of the game directors for the upcoming RPG.
